December 2006 Results

December Medal, Sunday 17th and Tuesday 19th December 2006

This was the first monthly medal to be played as a Stableford. Unfortunately we had to abandon the game on Tuesday due to thick fog. The results for Sunday were as follows:

Turkey Trot, Tuesday 12th December 2006

This is a fun competition with people sporting a mixture of Christmas costumes and hats. We had a great turnout this year with 41 competitors. The first teed off at 8:30 and included a mini-skirted Father Christmas and a Christmas tree! The format was stableford playing off ¾ handicap. Later in the evening everyone returned for the annual Christmas Dinner, this year with carols and dancing. The results were as follows:

Christmas Stableford, Sunday 10th December 2006

Twenty ladies played in this competition which was stableford playing off ¾ handicap. It was bitterly cold and we started off with thick frost. All competitors were happy to get into the warmth of the clubhouse and enjoy a Christmas lunch accompanied by music. The results were as follows:

Christmas Pudding Stakes, Tuesday 5th December 2006

This competition was played as a Tex Mex Texas Scramble. Twenty seven ladies braved pouring rain and strong winds for a chance to win a Christmas Pudding. The results were as follows:
