August 2010 Results

Stableford, Saturday 28th August

Thirteen ladies competed in the August stableford competition. The results were as follows:

Gerry Sturgess Trophy, Tuesday 24th August

Forty-one ladies competed in this stableford competition for the Gerry Sturgess Trophy. It was sunny with a bit of rain and quite windy, which did affect the scores. The results were as follows:

Stableford, Sunday 22nd August

Seventeen ladies competed in this stableford competition. The results were as follows:

Nine and Dine, Wednesday 18th August

Thirty-six ladies from all three sections played a nine hole competition on the red course. Each team had three players and the format for the competition was 3-2-1, with three stableford scores counting on holes 1, 4 and 7, two scores counting on holes 2, 5 and 8 and all three scores counting on holes 3, 6 and 9. We were lucky with both the weather and the light, with the rain holding off and all teams finishing by 8.20pm. The golf was followed by a baked potato supper in the club house. The results were as follows:

Midweek Medal, Tuesday 17th August

Thirty-nine ladies played in the midweek medal and thankfully it was largely dry. The results were as follows:

Weekend Medal, Sunday 15th August

Fouteen ladies played in the weekend medal. The results were as follows:

Vice Captain vs Captain, Tuesday 10th August

The winning team was the Vice Captain's Team by a narrow margin.

Anne and Peter's Trophy, Saturday 7th August

Thirteen ladies competed for Anne and Peter's trophy. The format was a 7/8ths stableford competition. The results were as follows:
