Wednesday Evening Ladies
This years Wednesday Evening Sessions for ladies without handicaps proved
very popular again. The sessions run from May to late August with
weekly competitions and prizes and are designed to encourage ladies who have
played a little golf to attain a handicap and learn more about the rules and
etiquette from established members who help each week.
This season has seen over 45 ladies sign up, six have gained their handicaps
already with a further six in the process. We are hoping to see these
ladies joining us in our Weekend or Tuesday competitions in the near future.
On the final evening teams of four competed in a Texas Scramble followed by
supper and prize giving in the clubhouse.
The winning team was Margaret Bruce, Joy Sharphouse, Pat Whapshare and
helper Pat Fullick.
